Environment Times has received a mixed bag of comment responding to the environmental aspects of the UK Government's Budget announced by Chancellor George Osborne yesterday. 

Scores of responses from relevant organisations have come into the Environment Times office in reaction to the agreement reached at the UN climate talks in Paris over the weekend.

A growing professional concern around the lack of focus that has placed on environment and sustainability in the run up to the UK's General Election has prompted The Institute of Environmental Management Assessment (IEMA) to launch A Top Ten Sustainability Actions for the new Government.

Environmentally active parliamentarians, businesses, NGOs and the media have been presented with the 2014 Green Ribbon Political Awards, whose aim is to inspire others into best practice and cajole backsliders into action.
