De Beers launches ninth Report to Society

The De Beers Group of Companies is proud to launch its ninth annual Report to Society. It contains full disclosure of the company's approach to, and performance against, the sustainability issues that are most material to the business and its stakeholders.

De Beers' material issues are grouped within five broad areas - Economics, Ethics, Employees, Communities and Environment. This year, two material risks per area have been selected for in-depth coverage in the Report to Society, while the remaining material issues and associated data are discussed alongside the relevant GRI indicators in the Assurance and Compliance Supplement.

De Beers has also launched a new sustainability hub called Building Forever (www.debeersgroup.com/buildingforever).

This online platform enables us to further bring our sustainability approach to life through case studies, interviews, video, social media and an interactive data centre.
