The Clearflow products, which were developed in Canada with the Canadian Environment Assessment Agency, use organic, non-toxic compounds to remove suspended solids and contaminants attached to fine soil and sediment particles, such as nitrogen and phosphorus, metals and hydrocarbons.
Clearflow offers a versatile range of silt control products that can be used to manage soil, sediments and water quality in a river catchment, as well as in industrial water treatment processes, and dust control on construction sites.
The products have already been successfully deployed in Canada across a wide range of industries, including the removal of chlorides at a road-salting vehicle wash-point, recycling onsite water at a remote coal mine and tackling algal blooms at a golf course.
Leela O'Dea, Technical Director for frog environmental, explains: "We are delighted to be bringing this fantastic new environmentally-friendly water cleaning technology to the UK, providing a cost effective treatment option that can be applied across a broad range of sectors to help protect water quality.
"Clearflow has been designed to meet the highest environmental regulations and standards, it is non-toxic to both aquatic and terrestrial life, it does not persist or bioaccumulate in the environment."
