Join the sustainability journey at emex, ExCeL, London on 19 & 20 November 2025!

For more than a decade, emex has championed the vision of a sustainable future, with a mission to lead, inform, and support UK industry on its journey toward achieving net zero. The outstanding free-to-attend conference programme is a huge draw with more than 3,500+ visitors expected for 2025 as the show expands to welcome those involved with smart and connected buildings.

Free-to-attend learning opportunities across four themed theatres where visitors can take full advantage of solutions‑focused learning from 100+ industry‑leading speakers in panel discussions, presentations and case studies. Our incredible line-up of speakers includes April Sotomayor, Head of Industry Sustainability at BAFTA, Chloë Fiddy, Senior Policy and Engagement Lead Climate Change Mitigation and Adaptation at ISEP, Philip Tamuno, Head of Sustainability and Net Zero at Homerton Hospital NHS, Sarah Handley, Head of Sustainability and Environmental Governance at Siemens Energy and Swati Singh, E&S Global Lead at CBRE.

For 2025, emex welcomes back ever‑popular content hubs covering: Energy & Carbon Management Strategy, Energy Future & Flexible Networks and Sustainability & Net Zero as well as introducing the brand new Smart Buildings & Built Environment theatre.

The Smart Buildings & Built Environment space will host dedicated content around this latest area of energy management. From retrofitting to the role of AI and IoT in connected buildings, there are plenty of sessions to give you answers and food for thought in your own sphere and emex is delighted to have the support of Estates Gazette who will be chairing this exciting new theatre. Considered by many to be “The Bible of Commercial Property”, for the best part of 200 years, Estates Gazette has provided essential news, insights, and market intelligence for generations of property professionals.

emex pic 1mainThe fifth content hub at emex is our Workshops & Interactive Space, that hosts a variety of workshops, roundtables, hands-on training and all‑important networking opportunities that continue to engage the audience at the show. Visitors have the chance to participate in smaller, interactive groups and is an opportunity not to be missed. Navigating your corporate path can be tricky at times, regardless of how many years of experience you have under your belt and emex is delighted to welcome ISEP and YEP again this year who will be delivering intimate mentoring sessions across both days of the show. If you have professional challenges that you would like to discuss or would simply like to expand your network, these are perfect for you. Senior ISEP members will be on hand to provide career guidance and insights for those established in their careers and the YEP, who support the next generation of energy industry leaders, will be available for those who have not long started out. 

Other highlighted sessions happening across both days of the show include;

  • The Third Wave of Sustainability: join speaker Lucy Ronan, Chief Impact Officer & Co-founder, Groundswell, part of Octopus Group in the Sustainability and Net Zero Theatre.
  • A Different Kind of Erosion: Uncover why this work can sometimes feel like the hardest job on the planet, lead by Liv Cropper, Transformational Coach at Yellow Bench Coaching, in the Workshops and Interactive Space
  • Embedding Sustainability and ESG from Boardroom to Boiler Room: hear from Alessandro Ciampechini, Technical Director at WSP, in the Sustainability & Net Zero Theatre.

Also at emex, following the runaway success of their participation in 2024, BSI Academy are back again with CPD-accredited training on energy management, environmental management and net zero. BSI Group is the national standards body of the UK and being able to take part in these free bitesize courses to elevate your professional learning is an opportunity not to be missed. These sessions are free to attend and can be booked as part of your registration to emex.

The pre-eminent provider of research, analysis, consulting and training to businesses around the GB and Irish energy markets, this is an emex exclusive and will give visitors the opportunity to upskill on topics such as: how the market for energy 'flexibility' is evolving; the structure of Corporate Power Purchase Agreements and how they can benefit end users and what the outlook is for business energy costs over the coming years. 100s of exhibitors cover the emex exhibition floor ready to showcase new products, technologies and services on the market to help you on your road to net-zero. Take advantage of the product and industry experts across the event hall and delve into conversations on how their products and services can help your business increase energy efficiency, lower energy costs and reach your net zero target.

emex pic4After hours, the end of Day 1 of emex will see a People, Planet, Pint meetup at The Fox, ExCeL where you can relax and network informally with other visitors over a couple of drinks. PPP hosts over 80 events a month in 15 countries globally, and they are a great way to get to know other like-minded people to discuss all things around sustainability. Everyone is welcome, regardless of experience or background, so come along, grab a drink and get talking! 

Closing the conference, a completely new feature for 2025 – Pitch To Your Peers, in collaboration with the Sustainable Business Consortium - a pitch competition with innovative startups battling it out for a prize in front of a panel of judges from the finance, retail, telco, logistics and airport sectors.
