The Fentex Trapper Range

British-Made Innovation Powered by Recycled Materials

As sustainability becomes a defining priority for British industry, choosing products that are both high performing and responsibly made has never mattered more. At Fentex, environmental responsibility and British manufacturing go hand in hand. As the largest Spill Control manufacturer in Britain, Fentex delivers an unrivalled product range that is manufactured and packaged in the UK, supporting local industry while reducing environmental impact.

Today, that legacy has evolved into a leadership position in environmental spill control, driven by innovation, recycled materials and uncompromising performance standards. At the core of this evolution is a forward-thinking approach that proves sustainability and high performance can go hand in hand, without sacrificing quality.

Sustainable production is embedded in every aspect of Fentex operations. By embracing recycled materials and designing products for durability and reuse, the company actively supports a circular economy. This commitment is not symbolic – on average, around 90 tonnes of recycled materials are incorporated into production every month, significantly reducing waste and reliance on virgin raw materials. The result is a range of British-made solutions that meet demanding industry requirements while helping customers achieve their own environmental goals.

The spotlight is on the Fentex Trapper Range – three innovative, problem-solving products, all manufactured in Britain using recycled materials and designed to tackle real challenges across UK industries.

SpillTrapper® – Advanced Spill Protection, Responsibly Made
SpillTrapper® is engineered to trap spills and leaks beneath plant machinery, rail infrastructure and heavy equipment, where containment is critical and conditions are demanding. It is the only under-plant and machinery spill mat to meet and exceed BS 4790 Fire Retardant Standards, offering unrivalled reassurance on high-risk sites.

Manufactured with Fentex’s Evo Recycled® core, SpillTrapper® uses a unique Burst Fibre Technology to maximise absorbent capacity while remaining hydrophobic – trapping oils and fuels while rejecting rainwater. Heavy-duty edging, a tough mesh grid and dual oil-absorbent layers work together to minimise pooling or run-off, while a hard-wearing backing mat keeps contaminants locked inside. Available in eleven standard sizes as well as bespoke made-to-measure options, SpillTrapper® combines flexibility, safety and sustainability in one British-made solution.

On busy construction sites and industrial environments, managing noise is essential for safety, compliance and community relations. NoiseTrapper™ offers a cost-effective and environmentally responsible solution. Designed to diminish noise at the source, these acoustic barriers can be seamlessly linked together to form larger protective zones.

Manufactured with a 100% Evo Recycled® core, NoiseTrapper™ is lightweight, easy to install and built to withstand British weather conditions. It is BS EN ISO 10140-2 certified for noise reduction and can reduce sound levels to within UK safety standards. Fire resistant, water resistant, UV stable and highly durable, NoiseTrapper™ demonstrates how recycled materials can deliver outstanding performance without compromise.

VirusTrapper® – Biosecurity with a Sustainable Focus
VirusTrapper® completes the Trapper range with a practical foot and vehicle disinfectant system designed to help trap and eliminate viruses. Ideal for farms, abattoirs, animal feed factories, food processing companies, leisure parks and National Trust properties throughout the UK, VirusTrapper® supports biosecurity in environments where hygiene is critical.

Featuring a 100% Evo Recycled® core, heavy-duty eyelets and a hard-wearing design, VirusTrapper® provides effective protection across varying terrains and climates while reinforcing Fentex’s commitment to sustainable manufacturing.

Beyond the Trapper Range – EVO Recycled® Innovation
Alongside the Trapper range, Fentex continues to lead the market with its widely trusted EVO Recycled® range. Manufactured in Britain since 2012, EVO Recycled® offers greener alternatives to traditional polypropylene or granular absorbents. The Evo Recycled® pads and rolls are the only absorbent matting in the UK tested to BS 4790 fire retardancy standards, exceeding BS 1425 cleanliness standards and absorbing an average 25% more than comparable PP products. The range to date has over two hundred products, which also includes 100% recycled plastic drip trays and spill pallets, emergency response spill kits and fire retardant wood fibre absorbents. This commitment to safety, performance and sustainability has cemented EVO Recycled® as the benchmark for British spill control.

Choosing Fentex means choosing British manufacturing, recycled innovation and proven performance without compromise. It means supporting local communities and jobs, reducing carbon miles and investing in products designed to meet the highest UK standards while protecting the environment.
