    Big declines in Atlantic Salmon leads to questions about what happens out at sea

    Concerns about the big decline of the iconic Atlantic Salmon in Britain's river systems are leading scientists to investigate what happens to this iconic fish while it's out to sea, with, on average, only 3% of fish leaving the river returning to spawn and this figure has regularly dropped below 1%. If the decline continues, wild Atlantic salmon will disappear from UK rivers in the next 30 years.
