We’ll get to net zero by: (i) transitioning our fleet to electric vehicles, (ii) decarbonising our buildings and networks, and (iii) by cutting carbon emissions across our value chain.
All our near term and net zero targets have been approved by SBTi.
During Financial Year 2025 (FY 25):
• We’ve cut our operational carbon emissions (Scopes 1 and 2) by 52% since FY17, against our updated aim, to deliver a 90% cut by the end of March 2031.
• We achieved a 4% cut in global energy consumption on last year, and grew our electric vehicle (EV) fleet to >5,500 – also placing the largest ever UK commercial EV fleet order during the year.
• We’ve cut our supply chain emissions by 25% since FY17 and are aiming for a 42% cut by the end of March 2031.
• And we’ve cut our scope 3 net emissions by 30% since FY17.
* We remain on CDP’s ‘A’-list for Climate, for the ninth year running (in the top 2% of 22,000 global reporters). We’ve published our first Climate Transition Plan, setting out in detail the objectives, strategy and governance needed to help reduce our emissions, manage climate-related risks and support economy-wide transformation to net zero.
* We want to become a circular business by FY30 and build towards a circular tech ecosystem by FY40, while supporting nature and biodiversity.
* We collected over 3.1m devices from consumers and businesses through our returns and take back processes.
* We’ve launched the sale of refurbished devices, which have a lower carbon footprint than new, and expanded the use of eSIMs.
* On operational waste, our UK and global recycling, reuse and recovery rate is at 97%.
